Sal Marotta started his career in transportation at the age of twenty-five with the acquisition of Ambassador Wheelchair Services, Inc. in 1992. This was a small operation with three wheelchair vehicles providing medical transportation. They now operate with over 150 vehicles making them one of the largest wheelchair service companies in Connecticut. Ambassador Wheelchair provides non-Emergency medical transportation services throughout Connecticut for Medicare and Medicaid clients as well as Veterans Administration clients. Ambassador Wheelchair Services, Inc. provides special needs transportation for students in forty-two Connecticut school districts daily.

Sal has also created a new company, Autumn Transportation, Inc., in 2006 to provide yellow school bus services. The company currently operates over 250 buses serving 12 school districts in Connecticut including the city of Hartford.

Mr. Marotta’s sensitivity towards the clients’ complete needs has caused his business to grow and succeed. He applies this same sensitivity as being one of the co-owners of Ambassador.
